Any webstore selling physical goods where a percentage of those goods are returned will need a robust and easy to manage framwork to oversee those returns; whilst a small store will be able to manage these by virtue of memore and scribbled notes, once your venture begins to grow you will need a more reliable system to avoid the task becoming un-manageable. The RMA system has been developed by the osCommerce community and is a well known solution to these problems, allowing returns to be instigated by either the customer or by the store owner, as well as tracking the reason for the return, where the product is (ie. in transit or received by vendor), the status of the refund and the deduction (if any) for re-stocking. The system is not an easy one to integrate to the CRELoaded system due to a number of differences with the code, and after a number of hours installing this on various clients site, we have documented the necessary changes to install this contribution to your website, as well as modifying and creating the new files necessary.
